Systems Engineer II

Pay : 40–42 / hr

6-month contract (possible extension)

We’re supporting a leading medical device organization that is looking for a Systems Engineer II to join their R&D team. This person will support both new product development and sustaining engineering work for a complex medical device platform.

What You’ll Do

• Translate customer and product needs into clear system requirements
• Support system architecture updates and ensure the device is designed correctly
• Plan, write, and execute system-level Verification & Validation (V&V) tests
• Document test protocols, results, and reports with a high level of detail
• Identify system risks, contribute to DFMEAs, and support safety / security assessments
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and quality teams
• Support sustaining efforts for legacy products, including updates and design changes
• Participate in design reviews and guide junior engineers when needed
• Communicate project updates, issues, and risks proactively
• Ensure all work aligns with design controls and regulatory expectations
