Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma Center)

Location : Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital – Temple, TX

Schedule : Full-Time |3 : 00pm – 3 : 00 am| Night Shift also available 7p-7A / 36 hours per week

About the Unit

• Level 1 Trauma Center with Certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center
• Busy ER averaging 220 visits per day
• 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma bays
• Collaborative environment with ED Providers, Social Workers, and Registration teams
• Primarily adult care with pediatric cases as needed
• Opportunities to participate in Shared Governance, Improvement Projects, and Department Committees

Our RNs are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and follow established care guidelines. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork drives success.

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
