Tennis Shop Retail Sales Associate

Cherokee Town & Country Club is seeking a part-time Tennis Retail Sales Associate to work in our Pro S hop and assist in stringing racquets for our active Racquets Program in Atlanta, GA . We pay  $14.50 per hour based on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

As a part-time Retail Sales Associate in our tennis shop, you arrive for each shift excited to meet new people. Selling equipment, apparel, and other items, you assist our customers in finding the right products to meet their needs. You carefully and accurately handle transactions through our point of sale (POS) system. Acting as our tennis extraordinaire, you take care of racquet stringing and demo rentals. You also serve drinks and concessions to our members.

No matter how busy you are, you greet every single person that approaches with your warm smile. Answering all incoming calls and member service requests, you are sure to provide fantastic customer service. You help coordinate court reservations, register players and direct them to courts, arrange lesson appointments with our instructors, and direct players to event applications. Customers are always impressed with how well-kept and clean our pro tennis shop, Hillside Pavilion, and bathrooms are. And, we have you to thank for that!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in a retail environment and with POS systems is required; experience in a tennis environment is a plus.
• Comfortable working with all age groups.
• Ability to stand for long periods at a time and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to answer phones and complete basic tasks on a computer.
• Racquet stringing skills are a plus.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
