Must-haves :

• Strong Solution Architecture experience with deep expertise in Data Architecture
• Ability to design holistic architecture proposals, covering networking, security, and engineering requirements
• Strong focus on data architecture pillar : relational databases, Snowflake structures, pipelines, and modeling concepts
• Experience with Azure cloud migration (3–5 years), including lifting and shifting data
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Familiarity with data governance, MDM capabilities, and domain definition
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture and Azure data modeling concepts
• Accounting and General Ledger knowledge (ideal but not mandatory)

Day-to-Day :

Our client is seeing a Solution Architect with data expertise to join the team. This architect will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reference terms, processes, and requirements, then design and implement end-to-end data architecture layers. The individual will evaluate and recommend solutions for financial systems, including general ledger replacement, and define data governance standards to ensure compliance. The role involves creating holistic architecture proposals that encompass networking, security, and engineering requirements while maintaining a strong focus on the data pillar. Working alongside another data architect, this person must be able to look at the work the current architect has done, and be able to understand and interpret how it was built. The architect will support AI strategy initiatives, document architecture decisions, and serve as a subject matter expert for data modeling and solution architecture, ensuring clarity and scalability in all technical designs. The company is also going through a cloud migration from on prem to Azure, so this architect should have experience lifting and shifting data to the cloud.
