Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner

Non-profit medical center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join Orthopedic Surgery team.

• OR / clinical role
• Clinic schedule : Mon-Fri 8-5
• Call Schedule for Physician s (supervision of physicians will be determined during recruitment based on experience and specialty interest of APP) : Shared call with other orthopedic surgeons, approximately 1 : 8 to 1 : 9 rotation for ED call- Clinic Call is 1 : 6
• Call Schedule for APP : clinic first then back up call of on call physician
• 6 MDs & 3 APPs on team
• Cerner EMR
• Hospital in the state for Orthopedic Care - 2022
• Hospital in the market for : Joint Replacement, Orthopedic Care, Major Orthopedic Surgery, Spinal Surgery & Spinal Fusion - 2022
• Average Patient Volume : 17-20 patients per day
• Demographics : Primarily teen to adult patients with a range of orthopedic issues, focusing on those requiring joint replacement surgeries
• Visit types : Initial consultations, pre-operative planning, post-operative follow-ups, and management of chronic ortho issues advised with care plan of supervising physician.
• Procedures : in office bread and butter
• Rehabilitation Programs : Outpatient therapy, a 12-bed inpatient rehab unit, and cardiac / pulmonary rehab.
• Surgical experience required.
