Responsibilities :
As an Occupational Therapist (OT), your role is vital in supporting the rehabilitation and improvement of individuals’ functional abilities for their daily activities. Below are your primary responsibilities :
Evaluation and Assessment : Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients’ functional status and abilities across physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional domains, identifying areas of difficulty and setting personalized treatment goals.Treatment Planning and Implementation : Create tailored treatment plans based on evaluations and patient preferences, guiding them through evidence-based interventions to enhance independence and quality of life.Patient Education and Training : Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers about the therapeutic process and adaptive strategies while offering hands-on training in daily living activities and the use of assistive devices.Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Teamwork : Work closely with fellow healthcare professionals, including COTAs, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and physicians, to create holistic care plans that address patients’ diverse needs.Progress Monitoring and Outcome Measurement : Regularly track patient progress, reassess goals, and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes using standardized tools and patient feedback.Qualifications :
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Current state license / certification in your area of practice.TMC is an equal opportunity employer.
