About The Position

A 127-bed Level III Trauma Center) is seeking a  Physician Assistant (Orthopedics) to join its growing team. This is a hospital-employed, full-time permanent role offering a collaborative environment, exposure to diverse cases, and the opportunity to live and work on the beautiful Oregon Coast .

💼 Job Responsibilities

Assist surgeons in the OR and ED consults

Perform comprehensive exams, order labs / tests, interpret results

First assist in surgeries, wound care, fracture reductions, joint injections, splinting & casting

Pre-op & post-op patient education, rounding, progress & discharge notes

Share equitable call coverage with orthopedic team

Collaborate with 2–3 surgeons (assigned pool)

Occasional weekend & holiday coverage

Job Requirements

Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)

✅ Oregon license (or willingness to obtain)

✅ 2+ years’ inpatient Orthopedic PA experience (preferred, not including training)

✅ Ties to Oregon (family / lived in-state) – Required

✅ Clean malpractice & background

✅ NPDB self-query report required at submission

⏰ Schedule

Full-time, Day Shift

On-call rotation TBD (shared across team)

Occasional weekends / holidays
