Assess and evaluate the auditory functions of United States Veterans as part of a comprehensive medical assessment process.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in performing medical assessments, specifically the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. They will also be responsible for completing a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) to provide evidence-based recommendations for veterans' benefits.
A key aspect of this role is to conduct thorough evaluations with minimal supervision, ensuring that each veteran receives a personalized assessment.
This position requires strong communication skills, as the audiologist will need to effectively convey their findings and recommendations to both the veterans and their healthcare providers.
The working schedule will involve reviewing and assessing 3-6 veterans per day on average, with a predictable schedule that includes two days per week from 8am to 4pm.
The selected candidate will not be required to prescribe medical treatments or devices but will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
To excel in this position, applicants should possess an Au.D degree from an ASHA Accredited school and hold a current license as an Audiologist.
