Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Accounting Manage r with expert-level
QuickBooks Online experience and a proven ability to build and perfect AP / AR processes. This
role manages the full accounting function in a high-transaction environment, overseeing large
volumes of small-dollar invoices across a wide client base. The ideal candidate excels in
accuracy, efficiency, and technology, and is comfortable supervising and training an entry-level
AP / AR clerk.
Responsibilities :
Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise, mentor, and provide hands-on training to an entry-level AP / AR Clerk, ensuring growth, accuracy, and adherence to processes.
- Develop clear workflows, expectations, and performance standards for daily AP / AR activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, organization, and continuous improvement.
Accounting Operations
Manage the full-cycle accounting function, including AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.Ensure every transactionlarge or smallis accurately posted and reconciled in QuickBooks Online.Maintain full ownership of cash flow visibility, vendor payments, and customer collections.QuickBooks Online Expertise
Act as the organizations QBO power user, responsible for system setup, optimization, automation, troubleshooting, and integrity.Develop custom reports, dashboards, and process automations to manage high transaction volumes efficiently.Ensure all integrated systems (bank feeds, payment processors, CRM, etc.) operate smoothly and accurately.AP / AR Process Mastery
Perfect the AP / AR lifecycle, including invoice coding, approvals, payment scheduling, customer billing, aging management, and collections.Implement best practices to reduce errors, improve payment cycles, and maintain clean aging reports.Ensure all AP / AR activities are executed with speed and precision, even under heavy workload.High-Volume Transaction Management
Monitor and process large volumes of invoices, payments, and receipts on a daily / weekly basis.Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring complete accuracy across thousands of small transactions.Design scalable workflows to maintain high data quality and efficiency as the business grows.Reporting & Compliance
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.Assist with audit support, tax preparation, and external reporting as needed.Cross-Department Collaboration
Work with operations, customer service, sales, and leadership to ensure financial transparency.Support budgeting, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.Requirements :
5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manager or supervisory role.Expert-level QuickBooks Online skillsincluding reporting, integrations, automation, and data integrity.Proven experience managing high volumes of transactions with precision and speed.Strong AP / AR experience, with a track record of creating and optimizing processes.Experience training, coaching, or supervising junior accounting staff.Strong computer skills, including Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, analysis).Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures.Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.Bluedrop LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
