What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate communication and de-escalation skills.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe any unusual conditions.

Observe and report incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives as required.

Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain order within the location.

Support loss prevention efforts by remaining alert to potential theft or policy violations, and by reporting such incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Interact professionally with the public, staff, and vendors to provide information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
