Automation Engineering Manager

My client is an Automation & Control Systems Solutions Provider for high-purity process systems of customers in food / beverage, dairy, bio / pharma, and personal care product market sectors.

Their Corporate HQ is in the Portland Maine area, with a 2nd office in Southern New Hampshire

The Automation Eng'g. Manager will have hands-on skills designing process control systems, and in a client interactive role, expand the footprint of the business in the Greater New England region.

Primary responsibilities : Directing multi-disciplinary teams; planning, implementation and integration of Process & Control Systems Equipment for local & regional clients.

Preferred skills : Experience with cGMPs, capital equipment and liquid processing & control systems (Control systems expertise trumps direct industry experience).

Other duties :

• Define automation architecture requirements.
• Develop functional / SW design specs.
• Knowledge of PLC / SCADA / DCS applications.
• Travel : Roughly 20%.
