Job Summary :
As a vital member of the Cath Lab team, you will plan, coordinate, and implement patient care for adults undergoing cardiac procedures. Your commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in patient care will ensure great outcomes in our clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Actively participate in Cath Lab procedures as a circulator, scrub, or monitor.Ensure patients are appropriately prepped for procedures and all necessary information is provided.Use critical judgment for patient assessments and timely medication administration, particularly for critically ill patients.Implement safe hemostasis techniques with or without vascular devices.Accurately enter patient orders and charges, regularly auditing for correctness.Provide exceptional care for critically ill patients while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.Educate patients and their families based on identified needs, documenting the information provided and offering guidance throughout the procedure process.Assist in patient transitions to the cardiology or Cath lab area as needed.Perform point of care testing when required by policies and procedures.Maintain an alert state and safe conduct at all times.Undertake additional duties as necessary to support the team.Education :
Graduate of an accredited nursing school or equivalent education for licensing.Experience :
No prior experience required.Physical Requirements :
Constant communication through verbal means.Frequent standing and walking required.Occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.Visual acuity for near and distant perspectives.Regular engagement of multiple physical activities.Licensing and Certification :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA.Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Compact State.Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred through AHA.Work Shift : Day Shift (United States)
