Base pay range $20.00 / hr - $20.00 / hr Job Description DIRECT CARE - PER DIEM - FAMILY SHELTER Direct Care employees oversee the 24-hour program operation, ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for families. Responsibilities include responding to calls and emergencies, maintaining confidentiality, and providing oversight to residents. Responsibilities Uphold the philosophy and mission of CCAB Family Shelter and maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Interact respectfully with visitors, employees, volunteers, service providers, and residents. Complete documentation, incident reports, and logs promptly and professionally. Follow program policies, report issues timely, and respond effectively to emergencies. Ensure safety and cleanliness of the environment, including house chores and building checks. Support residents with food safety and parenting, and intervene in misconduct as needed. Attend supervision, meetings, and trainings; cover shifts as needed, including overnight and weekends. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; 3-4 years experience in social services preferred. CPR certification and ongoing training. Ability to work with diverse populations, maintain confidentiality, and handle emergency situations calmly. Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Physical ability to respond quickly, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist in evacuations. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and good driving record.
