Job Description
- Position Key Accountabilities :
- Maintains expertise and seeks additional knowledge in the support and optimization of OpTime and Anesthesia Epic module(s), and how they integrate with other applications.
- Works cohesively with stakeholders to provide system support, including analysis, build, and testing of requested changes and analysis of new functionality of applications.
- Reviews, builds, tests, and implements new functionality via System Upgrades and Special Updates.
- Works and manages multiple tasks independently.
- Demonstrates timely, effective, and efficient troubleshooting of software and workflow issues and defines mitigation plans for resolution with minimal guidance.
- Develop and document internal procedures to use in conjunction with Epic applications.
- Meets build deadlines.
- Develop and maintain system documentation to enable ongoing support and maintenance of the Epic system.
- Performs unit testing of application configurations and builds in appropriate non-production environments to identify defects and create resolution plans accordingly.
- Participates in the creation of relevant and meaningful test scripts for application, integrated, and end-user acceptance testing.
- Performs testing in a structured manner, follows any defined test scripts, and documents results.
- Performs unit testing of application configurations, builds in appropriate non-production environments, and identifies issues and potential solutions.
- Follows established guidelines for system change control.
- Creates and maintains documentation for change management, including cost estimation, project documentation, communication, and training plans.
- Collaborates across teams to ensure process design, interface development, testing, and end-user training are performed to quality standards.
- Independently performs basic project management activities to develop and implement system changes and small to medium projects.
- Develops applications specific reports; provides technical specification and assistance to report developers as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or at least 3 years of relevant work experienceEpic Anesthesia and OpTime Certifications requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organizationAt least 3 years of Epic build experienceProVation, Masimo, Philips central Monitor units, GE anesthesia carts, Track Core, Laborie, PillCam, Workday Supply, Pyxis software.Previous operational, project management, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with federal, state, and hospital policies related to anesthesia documentation preferredFamiliarity with scheduling workflows, resource management, and workflows that involve anesthesia staff preferredFamiliarity with how anesthesiologists work with various hospital departments, including but not limited to the operating room, procedural areas, emergency department, and labor and delivery preferredFamiliarity with scheduling workflows and processes for perioperative documentation, case requests, policies for addon cases, and general scheduling permissions preferredFamiliarity with preference cards and their maintenance and case cart and materials management workflows preferredUnderstanding of hospital policies related to the operating room, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) policies, and The Joint Commission requirements, such as AORN's recommendations and definitions for the times that should be captured during a surgical caseMicrosoft Office Suite : Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, ExcelProblem Solving : Seeking, logically examining, and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problem's cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrenceDependability : Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely mannerCritical Thinking : Ability and willingness to see things in an open-minded way and examine an idea or concept from as many angles as possibleStakeholder Management : Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees including senior leadershipSalary Range :
