Located just outside Nashville, Indiana, Abe Martin Lodge is nestled in the picturesque hills of Indiana's largest state park, Brown County State Park. The lodge features 84 guest rooms, the Little Gem Restaurant, cabins, an indoor water park, and over 6,000 square feet of banquet / conference space.

Role Overview

A Housekeeping Manager is responsible for managing daily housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Job Duties

• Manage daily housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service, and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices, and banquet / meeting / conference rooms
• Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely manner
• Schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancies
• Conduct monthly linen inventory with an understanding of usage
• Creation and documentation of deep cleaning schedules for all rooms, carpets, and public spaces
• Maintain open communication between associates and management and monitors associate relations
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling, evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward
• Oversee and conduct room inspections
• Recruit, interview, and train team members

Job Requirements

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to all aspects of rooms / suites. Ability to physically move large objects such as carts, large bags of linen, and mattresses. Excellent organization skills, manages time well, correctly prioritizes and is flexible. Able to work weekends and holidays. Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent experience. 2+ years prior housekeeping management experience. Proficient in Windows operating systems
