Responsibilities
Lead client relationships as a trusted corporate tax business advisor, managing day‑to‑day tax matters for middle‑market and multinational clients.
Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, and ASC 740.
Research tax issues, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries, and recommend client‑wide solutions.
Coordinate with specialty tax practices on complex state and local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, credits and incentives matters.
Manage client engagement staffing, billings, collections, and ensure profitability targets are met.
Build strong relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients, projects and revenue.
Invest in personal professional development through firm‑wide learning and development programs.
Support the growth of team members through coaching, mentoring, and the Baker Tilly Care & Teach philosophy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law or a related business field; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
CPA or JD required.
Eight or more years of experience providing federal and corporate tax compliance and consulting services in a professional services firm, including ASC 740 provision experience.
Five or more years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management and communication skills.
Ability to lead and supervise others, deliver exceptional client service, and maintain commitment to continuous learning and quality.
Highly developed software and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
Compensation
Compensation range : $191,260 – $362,600.
