Job Description

As the Cold Storage Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and operation of all plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with vendors, and performing preventative maintenance on all refrigeration systems. You will also maintain the shop and engine room equipment, as well as all ammonia (FRIC) refrigeration compressors and the cooling tower.

Responsibilities :

Performing preventative maintenance on machinery, routine building repairs as needed

Ensure all refrigeration equipment, cargo moving equipment, and security & fire alarms are operating safely

Ensure the engine room- is organized and clean

Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery in the warehouse, arranging for repairs or replacements as needed

Collaborate with the operations & office department to ensure efficiency in operations to the highest standard, while being economically efficient as possible

Must be a team player, a self-starter and self-motivated in this role

Qualifications and Requirements :

3 years’ experience working as a refrigeration maintenance mechanic (or similar role)

Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

Strong analytical skills for tracking and record-keeping

Ability to work flexible hours as needed (ON-CALL)

Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings

IIAR Training & Ammonia Operator Schooling preferred

RETA Membership helpful

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $82,000-$85,000 annual Salary, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
