NICU RN Job Details

Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Location : Shiloh, Illinois 62269 (Greater St. Louis area)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 - 07 : 15), 3 shifts / week

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Level II Special Care Nursery (6 beds, average census : 3)

Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required

Scrubs : Provided

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (required at time of application)

Minimum 2 years of recent Level II NICU nursing experience

Special Care Nursery experience required

Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Proficient in ventilator management and IV starts

Ability to float between Memorial Belleville and Memorial East / Shiloh hospitals

Experience with EPIC electronic charting system preferred

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not required

Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality neonatal nursing care to Level II neonates (30 weeks gestation and above)

Provide care for well newborns at delivery and during transition

Perform ventilator management, IV starts, and advanced NICU procedures

Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals

Float to affiliated hospitals within the Memorial service line as needed

Participate in self-scheduling and ensure weekend coverage

Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC charting system
