Compliance Offer. Investment Advisers Act. you will play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies while optimizing our operational processes. This position could be located in Denver and Miami

Responsibilities :

  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the firm's compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Training and Education : Implementation and management of Investment Adviser continuing education program and internal training platforms.
  • Reporting : Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports such as Form U-4 and U-5, Form ADV and 13F. Maintain accurate records of all compliance-related activities.
  • Regulatory Updates : Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends and proactively communicate relevant updates to the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compliance within the wealth management or private fund industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of SEC investment advisory regulations, including IAR registration and licensing, regulatory IAR continuing education and CRD system.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead compliance initiatives.
  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, offer creative solutions, and can multitask and handle tight deadlines effectively. You should also be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Finally, you should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and have a positive, can-do attitude.

    Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the physical capabilities to work in an office environment, which may include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.   • This position may require the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • This position is required to work onsite 4 days per week.
  • U.S. Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Corient hires U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Corient will require proof of work authorization.
  • Corient participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment. Employers can only use E-Verify once you have accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9.
