Cunningham Childrens Home is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Circle Academy. This role provides direct services to students with speech and language needs in a therapeutic educational setting. As a Speech and Language Therapist, youll work closely with students, families, and educational teams to support each childs communication development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Conduct screenings, diagnostic assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs.
- Provide direct speech / language therapy services, including management of articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers on strategies to support student goals.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to staff and families.
- Stay current on best practices and continue professional development as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language PathologyIllinois Professional Educator License with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsementASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) requiredKnowledge of speech / language development, special education regulations, trauma-informed care, and behavior managementExperience with RTI / MTSS, early childhood development, autism, and assistive technology preferredMust be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across disciplinesWillingness to travel between Urbana and Rossville campuses as neededWhat We Offer
