Connexus Hub is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Planner / Manager to serve as the primary subject matter expert for facilities planning and project management. This critical role ensures that training facilities across 18 locations meet operational and strategic objectives for the Navy.This position requiring a blend of engineering knowledge, NAVFAC familiarity, Navy organizational insight, and strong leadership capabilities in managing large-scale, multi-site projects with autonomy and professionalism.

  • Position Type : Full time, W2 salaried plus benefits
  • Travel : Frequent, including occasional unscheduled travel across CENSECFOR domain

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the lead authority on all facility planning and management activities.
  • Analyze current and future infrastructure needs across a range of facilities including classrooms, weapon ranges, armories, laboratories, and training devices.
  • Provide direct input to the Navy Education and Training Command Navy Training Infrastructure Plan.
  • Develop long-range strategic plans for facilities and Civil Engineering Support Equipment requirements.
  • Offer technical guidance for facility project design, master planning, space utilization, real estate coordination, and engineering reviews.
  • Identify and coordinate facility repairs, modernization efforts, and maintenance solutions across Learning Sites.
  • Oversee installation and maintenance of critical training devices and infrastructure.
  • Support the local HQ building manager in tracking and resolving repair and maintenance issues.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct DOD facilities management experience, including work in facility planning, Military Construction (MILCON), special projects, and facilities maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of NAVFAC organizational structure and functions as a major U.S. Navy Systems Command.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Navy organizational structures including MPT&E, NETC, CENSECFOR, and their interrelationships.
  • Understanding of the mission and training needs of NECC and CENSECFORs associated learning sites.
  • Deep knowledge of federal and Navy-specific regulations and policies governing facilities development, environmental compliance, safety, and sustainment.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the CENSECFOR domain, sometimes on short notice.
  • Valid state drivers license required.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), with excellent communication skills and interpersonal ability to collaborate across military and civilian stakeholders.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience working with Navy learning environments and training support infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders including NAVFAC, contractors, vendors, and military leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale capital improvement or sustainment projects in a defense environment.
