Remede Consulting Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, West Virginia.

5S Trauma Stepdown (IMC / PCU) RN

3x12 or 4x12 Nights 7p-7a, weekdays, EOW, float

25 Floor Beds, 6 Step-Down Beds, 6 Peds Beds. Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit provides an intermediate level of care. Ideal candidates could have a background of PCU, IMC, Trauma, SDU. Travelers would not be required to see the Peds patients. It is possible that the unit could use a traveler for floor beds only – this will be discussed at interview.

Ratios : Floor RN : 1 : 5 / SDU : 1 : 3

Orientation / Start Dates held every other week on Thursday

2 Years of RN Experience Required; 1 Year in-specialty Experience required

1st Time Travelers Accepted if experienced in ICU / Trauma

36 or 48hr contract options

Every other weekend required

BLS, ACLS, Fit Test, CPI (Travelers can get CPI done with Qualivis), TNCC preferred

Skill Requirements : IV Start, Vents, Telemetry, Level 1 Trauma Experience, Conscious Sedation

Clinician can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs

Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests

100mi. Radius Rule (75-99mi. can be sent for facility approval)

WV / Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license

36hrs guaranteed

Submission Requirements :

Perm employees cannot return to CAMC as a traveler for 2 years after last day worked perm

Flu Shot : Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. CAMC FLU SEASON IS OCTOBER 1st - MARCH 31st. NOT REQUIRED OUTSIDE OF THAT WINDOW.

Covid Vaccine NOT required

ONE PDF MUST CONTAIN : Candidate profile (work history), Specialty specific skills checklist, Min. 2 Mgr / Charge References (within past 2yrs.), RN Lic. verification (NURSYs pulled within 2 days of sub date – clean lic. required – hits submitted for case-by-case basis approval), Driver's License, SSN.
