Registered Nurse - Level III NICU

Job Description :

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Level III NICU (Special Care Nursery).

Location : Cary, NC 27518.

Shift Schedule : 3 x 12-hour Night Shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)

Duration : 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).

Guaranteed Hours : 36.

Pay Range : $54 / hr - $58 per hour on a W2.

Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to neonates in a Level III NICU / Special Care Nursery

Perform assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and respond to emergencies

Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other NICU staff

Communicate with and educate families throughout the infant's stay

Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

Adhere to all safety, infection control, and NICU protocols

Skills / Experience Needed :

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Level II or III NICU

Familiarity with neonatal stabilization, resuscitation, and developmentally appropriate care

Excellent critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills

Flexibility to float and work weekends / holidays as needed

Education :

ASN or BSN (Bachelor's preferred)

Neonatal-focused training is a plus

Certifications :

Active RN License in North Carolina (or Compact State)

BLS and NRP (American Heart Association required)
