Position Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for representing Diamond Game in the Missouri market, developing and executing a sales strategy to meet company objectives by acquiring and maximizing sales at approved gaming locations throughout Missouri. The Sales Associate will develop the relationships necessary to implement the product down to the site level, with the responsibility of meeting sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become well-versed in Diamond Game products, as well as other Lottery products, to enable effective selling to retailers.
  • Develop and implement a sales plan to maximize sales and product performance from existing customers and to recruit new retail customers.
  • Plan your sales activities and keep effective records of those activities and follow up action.
  • Provide updated market sales analysis and recommendations to Market Manager.
  • Serve as a liaison with Missouri Lottery to ensure all information or customer expectations are met.
  • Analyze sales data, create reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and make recommendations for product mix changes per retailer that will maximize financial and operational performance.
  • Travel to industry conventions, conferences and coordinate with the Diamond Game marketing department as necessary to ensure success at these shows.
  • Think critically and creatively to identify opportunities, execute on those opportunities, and solve customer issues.
  • EffectivelycommunicateretailerissuestotheMissouriteamandcoordinatewiththeteamto determine necessary corrective actions for issue resolution.
  • Work closely with the Market Manager and the Diamond Game service team to provide a team- oriented approach to satisfying customers and maximizing the return for the company.
  • Be able to travel to retailers throughout the state of Missouri at various times throughout the day to meet with decision makers (could include evening hours); 75% of the time will be travel, with overnight stays as necessary.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as needed and / or requested by management.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience required.
  • 5+ years route sales experience.
  • Experience with bars, veteran / fraternal clubs, and / or lottery / casino gaming is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Abilities Requirements

  • Extensive Microsoft Office product knowledge (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to accommodate 75% travel
  • Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, integrity, and demonstrated ability to close.
  • Must be a quick learner and self-starter.
  • Must be highly organized, clear thinking, and able to work well both alone and with others inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and make intelligent recommendations to improve product performance.
  • Can work effectively under deadlines.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Most activity will occur at private clubs where customers smoke, and noise levels are moderate but occasionally will be loud.
  • Other activities will occur in office and warehouse environments. These environments may include interaction with forklifts, dollies, trucks, and the movement of pallets and heavy materials.
  • Travel between locations will primarily be by car on local roads.
