JOB DESCRIPTION :
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Onsite IT Support Technician to assist with day-to-day client support needs, primarily involving in-person visits to small business environments. This position is ideal for a junior-to-mid level tech with strong customer service skills and a desire to grow their technical capabilities in a structured and security-conscious IT services firm. You will be responsible for delivering onsite support across a range of desktop, networking, and infrastructure tasks. Remote escalation and technical oversight will be provided by our senior technical team.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide onsite IT support at client locations, including :
Basic troubleshooting of Windows Server, workstations, printers, and VoIP phones
Deployment of PCs and peripherals
Basic firewall / modem / router resets and swap-outs (under guidance)
Hardware / software installation and updates
Act as the local "hands" for remote technicians during more complex tasks
Document all work in the ticketing system and follow up on assigned tasks
Ensure client systems are properly labeled, documented, and secured during visits
Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness during all client interactions
Report any observed risks, technical issues, or process gaps to senior technical lead
Qualifications :
1-3 years' IT support experience (MSP and field service experience required)
Proficient with Windows 10 / 11, basic networking, and common office software
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel locally (mileage reimbursed)
Ability to follow documented procedures and security protocols
Comfortable working independently with remote team oversight
Basic familiarity with Office 365, MFA setup, and Active Directory
Exposure to firewall devices, RMM / PSA tools (e.g., Datto, Connectwise, Syncro)
Entry-level CompTIA certs (A+, Net+) or working toward them
