Duties and Responsibilities :
We are seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer to join our growing team. Ideal candidates are independent thinkers, self-motivated, communicate proactively, and enjoy collaborating with other disciplines throughout the design process.
Specific duties include, but may not be limited to :
Assist in the design and development plans and details for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, or verbal instructions.Assist in the development of structural models and project drawings using Revit and AutoCAD software, while understanding the scope of SD, DD, and CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate levelFamiliarity and ability to coordinate with architecture, other engineering disciplines, and related fields (e.g., civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical)Conducts site visits during planning, design, and construction phases to inspect field conditions, monitor work, and gather data and assess structural integrity.Assist in preparation of technical reports, construction progress reports, shop drawings, material lists, and submittalsDepending on your experience, you will receive design (analysis and detailing) tasks and project management responsibilities that will give you the opportunity to grow into a thoughtful, experienced, and agile structural engineer. We have a top-notch team of licensed engineers at all experience levels to provide training, mentoring, and support to round out and build up your technical and management skills.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on structural design. EIT designation is a plus.Analysis and computer modeling experience (e.g., SkyCIV, RISA, CSI, etc.) is a plus.Knowledge of building codes and design standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, NDS for Wood Design, ACI, etc.)Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD). Proficiency with REVIT is highly preferred.Experience in building structural engineering, with emphasis on managing and coordinating building engineering projects through design and construction is a plus.Knowledge of construction industry practices, quality control, safety requirements, and related standards, with the ability to apply these to building engineering and site design projects.Experience with structural systems, including but not limited to, design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, cold-formed and PEMB structures, as well as general construction practices.Experience with bridge structures and construction engineering practices is a plus.Ability to work effectively within an A / E environment with a commitment to fostering collaborative teamwork.Ability and desire to provide outstanding service to our clients by adding value to each of our projects and designs.Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively and simultaneously on multiple projects.Self-motivation with an eagerness to learn and a desire to grow in your career.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.State driver's license in good standingBE A PART OF AN OUTSTANDING TEAM!
