Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Antepartum Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Experience : Minimum 2 years required License : Active compact license required Certifications : AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP (Required), ACLS (Preferred) Must-Have : - Experience with anticoagulants, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy - Skills in maintaining central lines (CVC / PICC) - Ability to assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation) - Experience circulating for C-sections - Capability to manage high-risk antepartum patients Description : Perm candidates of any other facility are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. First-time travelers are accepted. Screen for less than 2 years or no experience with C-sections. Candidates with intermediate AWHONN only will be screened for manager approval. Float required to postpartum unit. High-risk antepartum care includes managing conditions such as preterm labor, previa, preeclampsia, diabetes, hypertension, PROM, twins, and substance use disorder in pregnancy. Care includes fetal demise or loss of patients both antepartum and postpartum, and postpartum mothers with babies in the NICU, with no newborns on this unit. Unit details include support for amnio or sterile spec exams at the bedside. Experience with PCA pumps, PICC / central lines, syringe pumps, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate is required. Candidates must maintain current certifications as listed in the job description to ensure compliance.
