Datacenter Technician

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing issues, performing routine maintenance and upgrades, ensuring security, and documenting operations. The role combines physical tasks like hardware installation with technical duties like system analysis.

Key responsibilities :

• Deploy and set up new servers, network equipment, and other infrastructure.
• Perform routine checks, preventative maintenance, hardware upgrades, and system backups.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and server issues to minimize downtime.
• Continuously monitor system performance, security, and environmental factors like power and cooling.
• Repair or replace faulty hardware components.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, and operational changes.
• Implement and enforce security measures, monitor for breaches, and handle media securely.
• Work with other IT teams to resolve complex problems and improve infrastructure.
• Handle physical tasks such as cable management, equipment racking, and handling heavy equipment.
