Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $2,485 per week in Kansas City, MO

This is a Cardiology clinic position with day shifts. Registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families who require care. Registered nurses utilize the nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe, high-quality, comprehensive, and age-appropriate nursing care for their assigned patients. Registered nurses provide patient and family education and advocate for their needs. Registered nurses coordinate patient care with non-professional personnel as necessary. Work involves assessing patients, identifying physiological, psychosocial, safety, and education needs. Develop and carry out the plan of care appropriate to the patient's diagnosis and nursing care needs. Evaluate the patient’s and family’s responses to interventions, modifying the plan of care when needed. Document assessments, interventions, evaluations, and progress towards outcomes in the patient record. Delegate nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications / competency and patient care requirements. Communicate delegated assignments and responsibilities effectively. Provide care for patients requiring inpatient dialysis / apheresis and patients pre, peri, and post liver and kidney transplant. Floating is required between facilities. Only AHA BLS and ACLS Certifications are accepted; other certifications will not be accepted. Those contracted for the main campus may start with the Kansas License pending but must have documentation that it has been applied for. Medication / dosage testing is given in the first week, with a 100% passing requirement. Three attempts are allowed for testing.
