Schedule / Hours : Full-time PM shifts, typically 8 or 10 hours, Monday through Friday with on-call requirements, primarily overnight and weekends. You may need to arrive on-site within 30 minutes when on call.
Major Responsibilities :
Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring optimal patient care.Use aseptic techniques for preparing surgical areas.Set up and disassemble the operating room for various procedures.Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating needs and providing instruments.Monitor and report supply and equipment issues.Transport patients and equipment as needed.Ensure the readiness of specialty carts and check equipment conditions.Support patient positioning and transportation duties with proper techniques.Demonstrate knowledge of patient care across all ages.Licensure, Registration, and Certification :
Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months, unless exempt by leadership.Education :
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.Experience :
No prior experience required.Skills and Abilities :
Understanding of surgical techniques and equipment.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Basic computer skills.Physical Requirements :
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, stressful environment.Must lift up to 50 lbs. and push / pull 30 lbs. of force.Continuous exposure to various hazards and must have functional sight and hearing.Regularly required to wear protective gear.This job description outlines the essential duties; additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
