Position Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on, highly engaged Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance activities across a large-volume film manufacturing facility that operates 24 / 7. In this role, you won’t just sit behind a desk—you’ll be in the heart of production , working alongside your team to troubleshoot equipment, drive reliability, and keep the plant running smoothly.
You’ll oversee a talented maintenance team, champion preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and play a major part in the site’s continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role offers significant influence and visibility across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day maintenance operations, including scheduling, prioritizing work, and supervising a team of 10–15 maintenance technicians, a maintenance planner, and an MRO purchaser / crib stock attendant.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by upholding company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Manage and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to prioritize and assign work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activity.
- Maintain and monitor employee work time, approving timecards, managing attendance, and coordinating time-off requests to ensure proper coverage across all shifts.
- Develop and maintain annual capital and maintenance budgets; analyze trends, identify variances, and take corrective actions to meet financial targets.
- Oversee crib stock inventory, critical spare programs, and vendor coordination.
- Drive all maintenance processes including troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance initiatives.
- Build and execute a structured maintenance training program to elevate technician skillsets and strengthen the department.
- Serve as a key contributor to reliability improvements, focusing on proactive strategies rather than reactive fixes.
- Maintain seamless communication across shifts by documenting key activities, ongoing priorities, and any irregularities requiring attention.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors during inspections, shutdowns, upgrades, and capital projects.
- Perform additional duties as required to support plant operations and ensure personnel safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.5–10 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a complex manufacturing or industrial setting.At least 5 years in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.Proven experience developing and managing budgets, maintenance schedules, and performance reporting.Hands-on experience with CMMS systems for work order management, PM planning, and task assignments.Demonstrated success in planning maintenance operations and implementing preventive / predictive maintenance programs.Strong analytical and self-directed work style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills—able to motivate and influence others to achieve results.Outstanding organizational abilities with a high sense of urgency and ownership.Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and CMMS) with the ability to analyze and interpret technical data.Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel equipment and tools.Must be able to reach with hands and arms, occasionally climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.Vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
