Job Title : Data Engineer

Hybrid 3x a week in NYC. In-office expectations : This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

People Inc. is looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL skills to join the team. The successful candidate will help build data integration pipelines that feed into data lakes and warehouses while maintaining data quality and integrity. This person will collaborate with stakeholders and ensure data deliverables are met, while working independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build highly-consumable and cost-efficient data products that synthesize data from a variety of source systems.
• Stage raw data and enrich it with business value so downstream workflows have consistent dimensions and metrics.
• Ingest raw data with Fivetran and Python and surface in BigQuery for the company to use.
• Design workflows that ensure reliable and consistent data creation; repair and enhance them as needed in response to changing data or costs.
• Develop Looker Views and Models to democratize access to data products.
• Partner closely with other developers on the scrum team with support from across the organization.
• Keep up with new technologies and approaches to solve problems and improve existing systems.
• Work directly with Product, QA, front-end and back-end developers in a dedicated scrum team to realize the product vision.
• Participate in a well-oiled 2-week agile system to continuously add new features and functionality to the business.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelors Degree preferred in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or equivalent experience.

Pay Range

Salary : New York : $130,000 - $160,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance. The range is one component of People Incs total compensation package, which may include bonuses and incentives. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, PTO, 401(k) with company match, and other voluntary benefits.
