About The Position

Job Title : Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Emergency Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years required, 1.5 years considered for candidates with Level 1 Trauma experience

License : Pending license accepted

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission)

Must-Have :

Level 1 trauma experience preferred

COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted)

Medications administration experience including IV medications via the seven medication rights

Documentation and communication of clinical findings

Description :

Candidates with travel experience are strongly preferred.

First-time travelers will be considered if they have 2+ years of Level 1 trauma experience.

The emergency department has a patient ratio of 1 : 5.

Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed.

Weekend shifts consist of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Floating to adult PCUs is an expectation based on staffing needs.

The emergency department has seen an increased number of admission holds.

Medication administration includes blood product administration and IV vasopressors.

Trials must be screened if they are missing requirements.

Travelers' IDs must be validated to meet compliance.

Travelers can work up to 12 consecutive months before needing a break.

Candidates must be fully available for compliance in the first 1-2 weeks after signing.

Drug screenings are required within 30 days of starting.

RTO restrictions apply, limiting requests during the first 7 days and last day of the contract.

Only one holiday bundle may be requested.

Any request for additional time off must be approved upon offer.

Bar code medication scanning is an expectation for all employees.
