Key Responsibilities
Data Quality Execution : Design, develop, and maintain data quality checks and rules (e.g., using dbt) on the Snowflake platform to identify and address inconsistencies in key datasets.
Metric Analysis Support : Conduct detailed data analysis to support the formal definition, rationalization, and documentation of consistent KPIs and metrics across various business units.
Data Quality Reporting : Create, maintain, and present data quality dashboards and reports to expand visibility into data health and reconciliation status for business users.
Discrepancy Resolution : Work with Data Engineering and business data stewards to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data mismatches, particularly those arising during the migration from legacy systems (IER AS400).
Governance Documentation : Assist in the documentation and communication of data governance policies, standards, and data lineage to promote a culture of data accuracy and trust.
Tool Utilization : Act as a hands-on user of the data catalog (Alation) and BI tools (Domo) to help catalog reports, trace metric lineage, and ensure adherence to enterprise definitions.
Required Experience and Skills :
5+ years of hands-on experience in a data quality, data governance, or data analytics role.
Proven technical proficiency in SQL and experience with a cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake).
Direct experience implementing or supporting data quality tests using tools like dbt.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify root causes of data inconsistencies.
Experience in creating data dashboards and reports for business consumption.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.
Familiarity with metric standardization concepts and the challenge of decentralized reporting.
