Job Summary
Superior Auto, a leading automotive service provider is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Mechanic to join our team. As a Mobile Mechanic, you will primarily perform vehicle repair and maintenance services on lot inventory and company vehicles at our 71 Superior Auto locations across Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio. This role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mobile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic assessments, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs, primarily at our 71 Superior Auto locations.
- Use diagnostic tools and onboard software systems to identify vehicle issues.
- Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer systems of vehicles. Execute complex mechanical repairs such as engine diagnostics, suspension repair, transmission service, and HVAC troubleshooting
- Perform routine services such as oil changes, brake inspections, battery replacements, and fluid checks.

- Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, battery replacements, and other general automotive repairs for lot inventory and company vehicles.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with location staff and, when applicable, customers, explaining repairs, and ensuring satisfaction with maintenance outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Ensure the mobile service vehicle is properly stocked, organized, and maintained with necessary tools and parts.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards to ensure high-quality service and workplace safety.
- Travel to our 71 Superior Auto locations across Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio as needed, maintaining a flexible schedule, which may include frequent overnight stays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training or certification (ASE preferred).Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, with proficiency in diagnostics and repairs.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile work environment.Own set of professional tools preferred.Willingness to travel to our 71 Superior Auto locations in IN, MI, KY, and OH, and occasionally to customer locations, including potential overnight stays.Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform hands-on repairs.Travel
