Job description$400k Guaranteed first year salary and $50k sign-on bonus. With opportunity to participate in production bonuses including the ASC to approach an additional $100k in year 2. Immediately available volume of 45 clinic patients per day and 300-400 cataract surgeries in first year, with significant growth expected in subsequent years and beyond. Surgical volume available includes cataract surgeries, YAG, LPI, and SLT procedures, with opportunities to develop full glaucoma or cornea service Additional unmet patient demand available for Cornea and / or Glaucoma fellowship-trained candidates. Clinic with 10 exam rooms; equipment includes iTrace, Zeiss OCT, Argos biometer, LAL IOL Light Delivery Device, Humphrey VF Analyzer, and autorefractor. Fully equipped for premium IOLS. Highly experienced tech pool with scribe. Highly efficient ASC in the same building as clinic. Single physician can perform up to 25-30 cases per day. ORA Wavetec and 5 pre / post-op Trans-Motion gurneys that allow for efficient turnover times. 1 in 3 (potentially 1 in 4) shared call schedule covering each other’s patients – no hospital or ER call. Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist Active Maine state licensure, pending, or willing to obtain upon employment The picturesque city of Ellsworth sits along the Union River, 40 minutes from Bangor and only half an hour's drive from Bar Harbor. Ellsworth and its surrounding area are rich preserves of New England heritage surrounded by natural amenities offering hiking, biking, sailing, boating, fishing, and skiing. Ellsworth is only 16 miles from Acadia National Park, which receives over 4 million visitors annually.
