Schedule : DAY / EVENING / NIGHT, Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

The Interventional Cardiology Unit (5200) at Sands-Constellation Heart Institute is looking for a driven and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to enhance our successful cardiac care team. This acute intermediate care telemetry floor specializes in the recovery of patients post-cardiac interventions and procedures, offering an excellent opportunity for nurses to deepen their clinical skills and expertise in cardiac nursing.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Provide comprehensive patient care by following the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, performing treatment procedures, and offering emotional and educational support to patients and their families.

Develop and implement personalized care plans that address each patient's unique needs, ensuring clear communication regarding their health status and treatment progress.

Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) effectively for precise documentation and communication of patient information.

Comply with all departmental protocols, local, state, and federal regulations, and ongoing educational requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Excellent documentation practices and professional demeanor.

Capability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Valid Registered Nurse license in New York State.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Minimum of 6 months of RN experience.

EDUCATION :

AS : Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly for moving objects; frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
