Position : Laboratory / Greenhouse Technician

Location : 7305 Northwest 62nd Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131

Duration : 12 Months (Possible Extension)

Work type : Onsite

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM | Work 1-2 weekends or holidays every 3 months, with comp days

Pay Rate : $22 / hr

Position Overview

The Controlled Environments Team seeks a motivated and responsible Greenhouse Technician to support research operations at our four-acre facility in Johnston, Iowa. In this role, you will contribute to the advancement of agricultural innovation by supporting daily greenhouse functions and research activities in a safe, professional, and compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diligently tassel bag and shoot bag in corn pollination rooms
• Transfer large plants on carts to correct room locations and specific locations within a room
• Perform routine greenhouse sanitation tasks like discarding regulated material
• Assist with plant care tasks, such as cotton pruning
