Gastroenterology Physician

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is looking for a dynamic Gastroenterologist Hospitalists to be part of our team for inpatient Gastroenterology at our Deland location. This employment opportunity is for a Gastroenterologist with a primary interest in a hospital setting. Physician would have responsibility at AdventHealth Deland to cover inpatient GI consults from the floor and emergency department. Candidate would also perform procedures in the hospital setting and should practice all aspects of Gastroenterology. Candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a desire to build and foster collegial relationships with community based physicians. Our gastroenterology network is aligned with our Digestive Health Institute providing multidisciplinary care to patients across the spectrum of digestive disease. Active Florida license is a plus.

Requirements of this opportunity :

• 7 on / 7 off; 182 shifts / year
• Desire to handle a high-volume case load
• Practice all aspects of general Gastroenterology
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Team player with patient-first mindset
• Eligibility for active Florida license

Can moonlight on off weeks within AdventHealth sister hospital.

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient centered care. The new physician should have the desire to join a busy practice and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth. ERCP and EUS preferred, but not required.

Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) is required.
