Key Responsibilities :

Inpatient and Outpatient Care

Provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

• Manage labor and delivery, perform surgical interventions, and provide follow-up care.
• Conduct prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic examinations.

Emergency and Call Coverage

Take 24-hour call shifts, with responsibilities including managing obstetric emergencies and performing general elective surgical cases if desired.

• Supervise and collaborate with other healthcare providers, including residents and fellows, during call shifts.

Patient Management

Handle an average of 3 patients per shift, ensuring high-quality care and timely interventions.

• Engage in rounding activities, both scheduled and unscheduled, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Documentation and Compliance

Utilize Athena EMR for charting and maintaining detailed medical records.

• Adhere to regulatory standards and facility protocols, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all documentation.

Qualifications

Licensure

Must hold an active Michigan medical license.

• Board Certification

Required; fellowship preferred but not mandatory.

• Certifications

ACLS, BLS, and PALS required. No ABLS, ATLS needed.

• Background

Clean malpractice background is essential due to the timing of this assignment.
