The Associate Laboratory Assistant supports clinical laboratory operations by performing specimen collection, processing, and maintenance of automated lab instruments under supervision. Description

The Laboratory Technician works under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, and in their absence under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), to provide technical, clerical and patient care support services. The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of procedures including venipuncture, skin puncture, specimen collection, specimen processing and distribution and the operation and maintenance of automated instrumentation up to but not including the resulting of laboratory data.

Required Qualifications :

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire
