Position Summary

The Senior IT Operations Manager is responsible for the effective delivery, security, and support of IT systems and infrastructure across the agency. Reporting directly to the Director of Information Services, the Senior IT Operations Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT Operations Team. The role will work with decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This position will help define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices. A strong candidate will bring leadership, technical depth, and a passion for service.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership

• Lead IT operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, best practices, project planning, and resource allocation.
• Align operational improvements with business and client needs.
• Develop end-to-end service and operations views from the customer perspective.
• Create a roadmap for continual process improvement and execute on it.
• Benchmark, analyze, and report on IT infrastructure and systems, making recommendations for growth.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision with input from the Director of Information Services.
