Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to support existing customers and develop new business opportunities across
Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia . This role is key to driving growth by presenting our full range of coatings, coverings, core products, and mechanical services through value-based selling. The position is home-based with regular travel throughout the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Present and sell coatings, coverings, core products, and mechanical services to accounts in the assigned region.
- Utilize value-based selling strategies to deliver total solutions for customers.
- Schedule and attend customer accounts during machine outages, conduct roll condition audits, and prepare detailed reports and quotes. Focus includes applications in paper, tissue, towel, and flexible packaging.
- Identify profitable product and service opportunities and collaborate with leadership to prioritize pursuits.
- Develop sales plans including proposals, presentations, contracts, and plant visits to close target accounts.
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue, margin, and expense objectives.
- Maintain an accurate CRM database with regular updates and strategic next steps.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and industry events as assigned.
- Provide support and on-the-job training for new sales and customer service personnel as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.Proven experience in technical sales or industrial manufacturing.Strong knowledge of coatings, polymers, or paper industry applications in
paper, tissue, towel, and flexible packaging

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and travel regularly throughout the assigned region.Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.Compensation & Benefits
