Role

Responsible for all aspects of marketing and underwriting of public and private commercial risks as part of the US Cyber and Technology Team. Lines of business include Cyber and Technology E&O. This role is on the Cyber and Technology team and is located in the NYC or Chicago office.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively market Canopius' capabilities, appetite and generate new opportunities as well as maintain renewal base from retail and wholesale brokers.
  • Actively participate in client meetings with current Insureds as well as prospects in order to secure important underwriting information to assist with decision making.
  • Perform all aspects of the underwriting process including risk assessment, underwriting analysis and determine risk adequacy.
  • Properly rate, quote and bind risk in line with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
  • Understand and continue to stay up to date surrounding the current security and privacy issues impacting the cyber market as well as the regulatory environment.
  • Actively participate in US Cyber and Technology team strategy and peer discussions.
  • Ensure all aspects of compliance surrounding file documentation and decisions are properly maintained for regulatory and other reporting requirements.
  • Training of other team members and collaboration with other members and regions of the team.
  • Collaborates with all departments including operations.
