Locum Tenens - Family Medicine Physician - Ironwood, MIAssignment Details : Coverage Dates : ASAP - Ongoing (3-6 month commitment ideal)Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PMCall : No weekend / night call required unless the physician can perform pediatric / nursery call for hospital admits; pediatric call is minimal with around 100 births per yearPatient Volume : 12-25 patients per shiftPractice Setting : Outpatient clinic with a small pediatric componentPediatric care would be a small part of the clinic panel; mostly adult medicineWilling to accept adult medicine-only candidates if not comfortable with pediatric callResponsibilities : Provide comprehensive care to adult patients; pediatric care if ableWell-woman care requiredPediatric duties include care for newborns and general outpatient pediatrics (preferred but not mandatory)Option for minimal pediatric inpatient care and newborn resuscitation if qualifiedRequirements : Board Certification : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Licensure : Must hold an active Michigan medical license or IMLCCertifications : BLS Experience : Must be comfortable with general outpatient family medicine; pediatric and newborn care preferred if offering pediatric call coverageCredentialing Timeframe : Approximately 90 daysAdditional Information : Nearest Airports : Duluth, Iron Mountain, Wausau, RhinelanderLodging Recommendations : AmericInn for short-term stays; BRBs available for longer-term arrangementsFacility Details : Trauma Level 4 facilityClinic with minimal pediatric admissionsOB program requires pediatric coverage for infants
