Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist :

Apply customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) to open invoices

Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short-pays, chargebacks, and misapplied payments

Work with customers and internal teams to reconcile accounts and fix discrepancies

Maintain organized AR records and supporting files

Support month-end close through reconciliations and reporting

What You'll Need as the Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist :

1+ year of experience in AR, cash applications, or related accounting functions

Excel skills (sorting, filtering; VLOOKUPs / Pivot Tables a plus)

Strong attention to detail and comfort handling high transaction volumes

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements
