Job Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a RN-Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to work at a facility in Downey, California. These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate : $74 / hour

Shifts Available :

  • Days, Nights Weekends and Holidays
  • 12 hours
  • Minimum of 1 shifts per week or as needed

Nursing Specialty :

  • Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a RN-Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
  • Must have up to date certification in the state of CA
  • MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior)
  • Fire Card

    • Responsibilities :

  • Monitor patients as they wake up from anesthesia
  • Check vital signs and assess for pain, nausea, or complications
  • Provide oxygen and manage airways if needed
  • Administer pain medications and other post-op treatments
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery
  • Communicate with surgeons and anesthesia providers about patient status
  • Educate patients and families about post-op care and discharge instructions
  • Document all care and observations accurately
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Prepare patients for transfer to their next level of care (unit or discharge)
