Join Our Dynamic Team as a Radiation Therapist Job Description : - Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 00) - Work Hours : May fluctuate between 8 to 9 Hours Mon - Thurs. Condensed to 4 to 5 hours on Fridays. - Experience : Minimum 1 year preferred - Certifications Required : - ARRT T - BLS - Preferred Experience : - Elekta Infinity Accelerator - MOSAIQ record and verify system Key Responsibilities : - Under the supervision of the Chief Radiation Therapist, you will : - Plan and apply ionizing radiation according to the prescription from the radiation oncologist or radiation physicist. - Provide exceptional care to patients during treatment, ensuring they feel supported and informed. - Educate patients on procedures and how to manage radiation reactions effectively. - Utilize a treatment planning computer to produce external beam treatment plans, including alternatives as needed. - Adhere to and observe strict radiation safety measures for the protection of patients, personnel, and visitors. - Deliver treatments while accurately documenting each session and relevant notes in the electronic medical record. Patient Care Focus : - Work with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. - Engage with patients in adult acute care and pretreatment settings.
