RCN Capital is seeking a Social Media & Video Marketing Intern to support our growing need for dynamic digital content. This role will assist the Social Media Marketing Coordinator with scheduling and managing social media posts, creating engaging video content, and monitoring social media platforms to enhance brand presence.

Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to work on social media channels for companies under RCN's umbrella, BLN Software and REi DealMaster, as well as our Podcast, Uncontested Investing, gaining valuable experience in managing multiple campaigns for different brands and products. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in social media strategy, video marketing, and multi-brand content creation.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Social Media Marketing Coordinator with :
  • Content creation for RCN Capital and umbrella company's social media accounts
  • Video content recording and editing
  • Scheduling of social media content
  • Monitoring of social pages, comments and messages
  • Additional tasks and projects as directed

Required Skills :

  • Strong understanding of all social media platforms

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Independent self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize projects as needed

    Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

    Highly motivated with strong work ethic

    High attention to detail

    Strong writing and analytical skills

    Preferred Skills :

  • Social media management preferred
  • Video editing preferred
  • Copy / content writing preferred

    • Required Experience :

  • 1 year of prior experience with social media marketing / Social media management
  • Previous utilization of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube & Tik Tok in a professional or academic setting

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Prior use of a social media management platform preferred
  • Prior use of Adobe Premiere Pro preferred

    • Education :

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university studying Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or related field

    • Schedule :

  • Can be full time or part time depending on availability
  • Will be onsite in our South Windsor, CT office
