Job description

Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Quality Engineer is a key member of the quality control team and is responsible for ensuring the generation of accurate data, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for creating, updating and training related to work instructions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure that laboratory follows Standard Operating Procedures for methods of analysis related to
  • QC / QA, R&D and customer services

  • Measures and drives key performance indicators that align with overall company goals and focus on maintaining the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction efficiency and regulatory
  • compliance. Uses these measurements to monitor and manage performance

  • Leads continuous process improvements focused on customer requirements, quality and production efficiency
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operating standards and processes that support customer requirements in the most effective and efficient manner. Recommend changes as
  • appropriate

  • Participates in the Management of Change to track products affected by a change from receipt of good thru customer.
  • Leads root cause investigations for customer complaints and unexplained quality losses.
  • Communication / Other Duties

  • Follows all company and customer safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Responds to change productively.
  • Handles other duties as required.
  • Follow appropriate quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Assist in training employees on appropriate items.
  • Attend training classes in-plant or other locations as assigned.
  • Education and Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, with emphasis on quality, ceramic, industrial or process engineering
  • 0-6 years of manufacturing industry experience
